Building coop for new flock...All the pullets I have purchased are from the same farm, they are also all cooped together with other pullets the same age (14 weeks). With luck and proper overtime cash floww I will be completing coop in 4 weeks at which point I'll be bringing my laying pullets home. Last time I had laying hens I bought them through a local feed store and they had all been vaccinated for several viruses. As those birds from the feed store had been debeaked I didn't want to go back there as all of you on this message board have explained to me that debeaking is not necessary but down right wrong. So, all these pullets look great...do I need to vaccinate them? If so how are they administered, can I do this myself?
