Hi, we lost one of our girls yesterday, Farker was a lovely chicken and she had a soft egg stuck which took her from us and I am worried about the one we have left, she is just over 1 year old. I am not sure if we should introduce a new chicken or where to start. Has anyone got any experience / tips for us?

A slow introduction usually works best. A cage in the coop or a divided coop so they can see but not touch each other for about a week. Then a limited time together, supervised, free range so there is plenty of room. You can tell how they act during this time if they are ready to stay together yet.
