Hi all! I'm from Los Angeles
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am not new to chicken. When I was younger and living in the mountains, my family had bunch of chickens. Unfortunately, when we moved to the city we had no idea that we could keep chickens so we had a 8 year period where we did not keep chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 5 hens and 1 rooster. I used to have more hens but had a predator problem until I figured out how to keep them safe.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have had a single black silkie, RIR, Sex-links, and Ameraucanas. As of now I have 4 RIRs and 1 Ameraucana hens and 1 rooster which is a mix of RIR and something else.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I was trying to figure out something about chickens and google suggested me this website
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love to bake! My house will always smell like vanilla and sugars
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 2 dogs, both Cocker Spaniels. I want to grow my flock so I am currently searching for hens that easily broods.
