Cindy from kansas, I have about 30 chickens, different breeds, love them. I'm looking for lavender ophington and mini silkies. Any input is helpful

Nice to meet you Cindy, thank you for joining us at Backyard chickens. In the USA silkies are small, considered a bantam breed. In Europe etc. I believe their silkies are full size.

You might want to check out the "Silkie thread," just put that in the search box and it will come up. You may also put your state name in the searchbox and find your state thread.

You could post there too and see if you have any bycer neighbors.

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. Once you have made 20 posts, you can participate on the buy/sell/trade forum - no harm in looking there to see what's currently available.

    All the best

G’Day from down under cbuckner [IMG] Welcome!

As you have already received some good tips I will just add that I hope you enjoy BYC. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends [IMG]
