    (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We bought our chickens from a friend last year. The girls were already laying so we had instant eggs!

    (2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Right now we have 14. We have 5 from the existing flock of 8 that we bought last summer.

    (3) What breeds do you have?
1 RIR, 1 not sure(she's white and lays brown eggs, 2 Leghorns, 2 Barred Rocks, 3 Black Australorps, 2 Jersey Giants, 3 banties

    (4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
    Google

    (5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening (vegetable & flower), knitting, bread making

    (6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a full-time homemaker and homeschooling mom to 3 precious boys! I am married to the love of my
life! We have had every type of common pet possible! Right now the only pet we have, other than our chickens,
is a black Cocker Spaniel named Wally. I grind wheat to make bread for my family and strive to keep our family
as healthy as possible through eating organic whole foods. I would love to be completely self-sufficient, but right now
    that is only a dream.

Hi, we got our chickens a year a go. They are Golden Comets and RIR . They started to lay at 17 weeks. We have 12 chickens. We found BYC by Google too. I like to do art, play with chickens and and swim. I still go to school. I have a cat and a dog. My dog is blind, we got her from a yorkie rescue. [IMG] [IMG] coxoxcow !!!! [IMG]
