I have read and read all on this site, and thank each of you for wonderful stories that have helped me get started with my chics! Attached is a photo of the babies I picked up today. They are in a temporary Rubbermaid container for today only. I'm keeping them outside in my screen porch during the day (it is 90ish here) and then at night (it's down to around 70 outside) I will bring them in with a light for warmth. I grew up on a farm as a child, now I am in the county. I started my first garden this year also! The chicks are: 1 barred rock(spelling?) 1 RIR 2 Americauna-my daughters will love these I think 1 Yellow something-completely slips my mind. Any help with the yellow chic? I got a mix because back in the day we only ever had (it's all that anyone had around) was Bantams so I wanted to enjoy getting to know several breeds. Well, the mobile app isn't letting me attach a pic I will do that tonight when I am on my computer!
