hello everyone,
I am new to chickens and so far enjoying it. We got our first chicks this past spring. To start off first we got 9 chicks, 3 black sex links, 3 light brahmas and 3 aracaunas. We did get one rooster out of them and had to send him to live with my sister in law. He is doing great there. He is the king of the coop. So this has been a learning experience for me. I first found out about this site when I was doing some research about chickens. And my sister in law reminded me just the other day. So I came and joined for some useful information and help too.
My family consists of my husband and my self, our daughter is away at college and will be returning next spring after she graduates. We have 3 dogs one is our daughters. Our main hobby besides the chicks is our garden. We are growing what ever we can and then can it in jars for storage.
