I got 2 pair of geese today and they have been laying. The ppl I got them from have been pulling the eggs, but I don't think Im gonna. Anyone have suggestions on letting them hatch them on there own.

Give them in a protected, secluded place to lay and incubate their eggs and be careful. The mildest mannered goose will get very protective when they're setting on eggs and caring for young.

Quote:What can expect? The lady I got them from said that she had 18 that she sat on last year and only 3 hatched. Is that normal? Is there something I can do to maybe get a better hatch? I dont have a bator, so that is not an option.

Thanks Betsy!! They have a great pen inside the barn with a doggie door to get out into their fenced in area.
