New Grow Out Barn

  1. It has, quite frankly, been a horrible year for us so far due to incubator issues. I have had time lately to build a new grow out barn. Hopefully we can fill it up soon.

Here are some pictures. Sorry I did not document my progress but it is pretty simple.

  2. A couple more pictures. There is one four by four pen. One four by six pen. Two six by five pens that can be combined and one four by eight pen.

  3. My helper. She is apparently young and shows little fear of me in the backyard.

  4. My OTHER helper. As in he helped himself to two Gold Laced Cochin eggs. Oh well, everyone has to eat.

    Excellent work! [IMG]

The one thing I've learned the hard way about building cages, is to not build them so deep that I can't grab a hold of the little buggers without having to climb in the cage to retrieve them from the far back corners! [IMG][IMG]

That's very nice!!!! I can tell a lot of hard work went into it!

  7. That has always been an issue, but I have just learned to use a short handled net very well. Most of them are tame enough to come for a treat as well.
