New guy from the other Washington

I am new to backyardchickens. I found the site with Google and I like the community and the information. We have raised chickens both for meat and eggs over the years. When I was a kid in Western Washington, we raised chickens on our farm and me and my brothers were all active in both 4-H and FFA, showing, judging and all of that.
Right now we have just enough to supply us with eggs for our consumption and some to give away.
To all of you out there: Thanks for being there.
