I really enjoy raising chickens. Im mainly a Marans person but do have others as well. It's a hobby for me, not trying to get rich but do sell some from time to time. Just got started in the bantam business. I have a pair of seramas and a pair of silkies. I have 20 grown hens serviced by a BCM roo. I have 5 Swedish flower hen babies, 2 cuckoo Marans babies, 4 RIR babies, 2 Americana babies, and 11 Marans pullet babies.

Sounds like you have a nice flock of birds! I've never kept Marans, but have always admired their lovely brown eggs. Good luck with your flock.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. I love the chocolate eggs of the Marans. In my personal opinion, they are the prettiest eggs in the chicken world. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Will you be getting pure bred roosters to match your hens, so you can sell pure bred chicks?
