I have a New Hampshire red cockel that is about 7 months old . The cockel comb is no bigger than my red star ,white dominique,[IMG] and red leg horn pullets combs. Is this normal and if so how long on average does it take for his comb to be fully grown

[IMG] I'm not familiar with the breed but, some breeds grow large, floppy combs(both sexes) and some have smaller combs even on the males. Someone with the breed could advise you best.

I know that New Hampshire red normally have medium to large once but I was not sure if anyone knew how long they normally take to grow or is there something with the rooster

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan [IMG]

If you search for the New Hampshire thread, you should be able to get some info from breeders.

You might want to go to the thread Germain New Hampshire. There is some real good pictures of some roosters there.

Hello :frow and Welcome to BYC! You might want to take better pictures of the roo and his comb also, it almost looks on that one like he has a peacomb?
