GRITS Mama
Chirping
We live in Alabama and finally live in a place where we can have chickens. I've wanted them for so long.
Our 5 chicks are almost 5 weeks old. An Easter egger (Esther... she's my favorite ), golden comet (Joanna), California white (Claudia), and 2 ISA browns (Ruth and Rebekah). I'm looking forward to this adventure and am enjoying learning their different personalities. We got them to have and share eggs with family and neighbors, but they are quickly becoming family pets as well. We're making a sign for our coop...Coop de GRITS (Girls Raised in the South).
I love this site. Many of the threads have given me such helpful information. I've already successfully cleared my first compacted crop, dealt with pasty butt, and learned not to freak out about that icky cecal poop. Thanks y'all.
