Hi, I'm Nicole. I'm new to the site, and new to owning chickens! We got our first four yesterday...... (3 Sumatra and 1 Rhode Island Red) and a duck! Not sure what breed the duck is, trying to figure it out, but the man selling the chickens just kind of offered the duck as an extra, so what the heck! They were already living together anyway.

I expect I'll be here a lot while I figure things out. This is fun [IMG] My kids are really excited, too.

So excited! We woke up to two eggs this morning. We have eight chickens now. And one of the girls is trying to get settled to lay one as I type this. I'm impressed given their brand new surroundings.
