Hi, my name is Cathy and I am new to chickens. My husband and I are still in the planning stages of this adventure. We plan on getting 3 Plymouth Barred hens for eggs and amusement. We have no experience at all with chickens but I've been charmed by your photos and stories. My daughter suggested I check out this site and learn all I could from the experienced group here. I am a retired RN and I have lots of interests and hobbies. I love to make hand made cards and I am aStampin ' Up! demonstrator. Cooking, reading, quilting and photography are among the other things I like to do. I have recently become interested in food storage, canning, gardening and becoming more self-sustaining. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you better.
