I am new here and to chickens. I just ordered 9 aracaunas from Ideal today. They are coming in April. I live in North East Mississippi with my 2 great kids, a geriatric cat, one puppy, 5 fish, and one frisky husband. Looking forward to learning and having chicks. Thanks for all the great info.

Well I know two other chicken lovers and I had been debating doing for a long time so I took the plunge. I am getting so excited.
