I am in middle TN. and have a young pair of Red Goldens she should start laying sometime in May. Are there any other Fancy Pheasant raisers in this area?

You betcha! There's 5 listed in the APWS directory that raise pheasants. There are 15 people listed in Tn,but only 5 list pheasants, some don't list what they raise so there may be a few more from that list.
I believe your red golden will start laying around mid April, maybe sooner as your climate is wramer then here in N.H.,

APWS is the American Pheasant and Waterfowl Society. They have a website www.apws.org,they also send out a magazine if you join.It gives you bird contacts from all over the states,Canada, and a few other countries.
It doesn't matter if she is hatched late, that does not throw off their laying. Now that you've caught the pheasnt bug. What breeds will you be looking for next?
    In N.H.,Tony.
