My name is Betty. I will be 39 years old this September. My fiance and I own a horse rescue in North Carolina. We have all sorts of animals. Dogs cats chickens rabbits quail and of course horses. We have rescued 27 horses in the past 13 months. Glad to be here.
 
That's a lot of horses to feed - is it difficult to find homes for them? I know when the economy is bad large animals are the first to go. People have been dumping chickens, especially roosters - I'm afraid most of them end up feeding predators.

So glad you could join our community! Sounds like you have a very nice group of livestock! Well this is the place to be when you have a full farm going. Great job on rescuing the horses. We did that when I was growing up and took in many wild horses from the wild horse roundups out west here. Very rewarding to give horses a second chance at life.

At the moment we only have 6 here. We've been fortunate enough to find good homes for them. We did lose 5 out of the 27. But they were older horses with health issues. For the most part they get re homed once we see how they are and what if any training has been done.
