Just wanted to share what, I think, is a really great idea!
My DH is covering our hen run with snow fencing! It looks like a pergola, it's strong and sturdy!

He installed "beams" and is securing the snow fencing on top of that. Run is 6 feet tall.

Once EVERYTHING is done, I'll post pics!

    Wow, that's an awesome idea!

We have 4 huge rolls that are sitting down in the front along the property line. I was wondering what the heck we could use them for.

I can't wait to see pictures.

There are *SO* many good ideas here.

Great idea i used it myself, it worked until the nice little raccoon chewed it's way through.

Plastic fencing works great until you get a predator with sharp teeth, then well it is like nothing is there at all.

I think the OP may be talking about the old-time snow fence, which is the thin wooden slats wired together. I have 4 big rolls of it, and it would have a "pergola" look if it was installed over beams.

Quote:If that is the situation then it should last forever, we still have some of that old snow fence on the farm. It covers a small area but it has been there over 40 years. Older than i am [IMG]

Hey Dilly! You must be from somewhere nice and warm if you have never heard of snow fence! Here in Montana most of us have a roll stashed in the barn, garage or carport!
