Hi everyone, I'm new to chickens, and am looking forward to keeping a small--like 2--flock starting later this spring. I'm a mom of 16 month old twins and I work full time as an Episcopal priest in Boulder. Can't wait to soak up new knowledge and connections!

Hello and welcome to BYC [IMG] Check out the Learning Center for an introduction to keeping chickens and make sure your coop is big enough to accommodate more than 2 hens. Once you discover how much fun they are you'll want more!

[IMG] I might suggest a minimum of 3 for your flock. That way if one dies, there will be two left to serve as company for one another. Chickens are very much flock creatures.
