Where is Madison County ? We are in Will County, south of Chicago, north of Kankakee. It would be so nice to hear from folks closer to home. [IMG]

Hello!! I live in Fayette Co. Right between Effingham and Vandalia.

I only have 4 girls, they are barred rocks. Princess, Louise, and the twins.
I also have 3 very noisy guineas (frankenheads). We just call them the knuckle heads.[IMG]. I would love love love to have a couple more. My honey just gives me that look. But they are so awesome!!

Welcome to Illinois! We are now in McHenry County - near the Wisconsin Stateline. I was born in Homer Township, (Now Homer Glen) Will County and lived there for over 50 years and our family goes back to the early 1800's there, two years before Illinois became a State. I always thought I would become the oldest Homer Township resident but politics and zoning made be look for some acreage where I would not be bothered by complaints of my rooster crowing all day. What can I say - he's a happy bird! The move was the best thing we ever did. Glad to have fellow Illinoisans within the flock of BYC. [IMG]
