Hello all, first post. I've been lurking and learning for a while now but I figured that now that I've brought home my first chicks that I would officially say "hello". Our family has just welcomed 13 little wyandotte chicks to our home. We've got 9 gold laced, 3 silver laced and 1 blue laced red. They are peeping and pecking away in their brooder and my 2 year old is thrilled. She asks me every 10 minutes if she can see "her chickens". We live outside of Chesterfield, MI on 15 acres. It's me, my DH, our DD, 2 chinese cresteds, 1 catahoula, 1 horse, 1 donkey, 3 nubian crosses, and soon to be an alpine doeling joining the flock (letting her nurse off mama until she's weaned and then she'll come to live with us) I'm sure I'll come up with a variety of questions to ask later, but for now I thought I'd just introduce myself and my birds, though it will be a while before I learn their personalities and name them all.
Greetings from Kansas, cuppycake, and ! Pleased you joined us! I have a few Wyandottes myself - love them and their unusual combs. Good luck to you and hope to see you in the forums!
