welcome from a fellow mississippian, in simpson county. i have lurked on this site since last fall, joined about 3 weeks ago to get some sorely needed advice. one of my hens slipped off and hatched a batch of biddies, that i did not need or want. but,, beings how they are here, i am responsible for them. they will be 4 weeks old thursday, and run during the, roost at night, with the rest of the girls. bad news for me is, another hen has taken missing about a week ago, out of the blue, same as momma hen. i 'spect in 3 weeks or so, another little flock will appear. oh well, plenty of folks here-a-bouts want chicks.i originally had 14 peepers, gave 8 to a buddy, chicken snakes got 2, i got the snake, and have 4 peepers left. cutest little fellas you have ever seen, kinda makes me feel like a papaw,,,,,,,,, maybe another batch won't be sooo bad...
