Just wanted to introduce myself.
Don't have chickens, yet, but have confirmed that I can keep them and that my plans are acceptable to the City.
Coop/pen construction in our back yard begins in the next day or so. I've lived with/cared for chooks in a farm setting for a total of about a year, but that was a few years ago.
I'm hoping to keep 6 birds for eggs (not show), Buff Orps, Wyandottes, Ameraucanas - I'm not picky (though the thought of a couple of Marans kinda makes me tingle...)
What I am hoping to be able to find, though, is someone who will sell 3 - 5 w/o birds. Does anyone know of such a supplier in the lower mainland or on the Island?
