I got 7 chickens from Meyer Hatchery in Feb. My 10 yo autistic son has always wanted to be involved in 4-H since I first took him to the Ohio State Fair. I decided to start with chickens after our friends started last year and I was able to get comfortable with the idea! We have 2 buff orpingtons, 2 barred rocks, 2 buff brahmas and 1 EE. Now I am worried that my EE is a male. We have a farm outside the suburbs but I wasn't planning on a rooster! Now I'm kind of freaking out! I am going to post his/her picture on the other post to get opinions. I'm excited to find this group!
