New keeper in Tasmania

Got two hens at Christmas 2026 from my mother, they are Steer Quamby breed, then got six chicks who were three days old eight weeks ago, the chicks are mixed breeds so not real sure the breeds or sex of them, they moved outside a few days ago and are living in a separated section.
I built the run and the coop was built in an old green/shade house, the ground in the run is mostly cement which has a nice layer of dirt, pea and sugarcane straw, pine shavings, and whatever weeds I have given to them.
