New layers

Hey all! Yesterday when I went out to let the chickens and ducks out, I noticed that one of my Pekin girls laid her first egg! She and her sisters are my oldest at roughly 4.5 months old. There were no eggs today, which I figure is probably typical of a new layer. My question is how long will the egglaying be spotty/ when will they start laying more regularly? Thanks!

I don't have Pekins but with my own ducks it usually takes 2 weeks or so to work all the kinks out.
