New lone chick won't eat organic chick starter

Just tried a tiny sprinkle of nutritional yeast on the chick starter and the chick seemed to like it - better than the egg anyway. Is that OK for him / her?

If you get concerned about the chick not eating, try hard boiling an egg and crumbling it up for it.
All my hens and chicks love a crumbled up yolk...

And after a few weeks I give them a few scrambled eggs because it's good for them, helps them bond with me tooand come when called.They learn to be as excited to see you as the rest of the flock...but my chickens are treated as pets.

I dehydrate scrambled eggs then run it through the coffee grinder and store it in the freezer until hatching days come around again. I soak it very briefly and give it to very young chicks in the brooder.

I found that they prefer my own home-made chick starter, soaked. He is also eating bugs, yesterday swallowed an entire grasshopper by himself! He survived ... the grasshopper did not.
