    Hi,

Just purchased a 30 acre farm with 3 generation family. 5 month old anatolian is lovely but I am trying to learn what I can expect of him with chickens and how I approach that and what he expects of me.

    Cheers

Dogs and chickens was the Topic of the Week a couple of months ago and you might find some helpful tips on that thread:

I hope you enjoy BYC. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends [IMG]

Welcome to BYC, you may put "Livestock guardian dogs," in the search box for info on raising them right. Nice pup.

Welcome to BYC! It's great to have you.

Sorry, I don't know much about dogs except they're cute and shed everywhere. I do know several of our members keep LGDs so they may be able to advise you.
