Hi,
I am new to chickens and to BackYardChickens. I got my first chicks on April 1st. I went in with a friend on her order from Murray McMurray Hatchery. My selection was 6 Silver Laced Wyandottes but then I ended up taking home one of the free chicks included in the order too, which is a Barred Rock. My great uncle helped build a nice coop and run, which the chicks are now enjoying. I am having fun watching them mature and can't wait to see what they mature like. I realize they will probably not be top quality since they are from this hatchery but hopefully they will be nice hens and good layers.
I am located in central CA.
