Hi, I had chooks when i was a kid, then city life wouldn't allow them, now I'm in outback Australia, had lots of large empty birdcages so have collected a range of types by barter, rescue, swaps and money. I love watching the personalities develop and the community dynamics. My family members love coming and spending "chook time' and of course, collecting the eggs, or seeing the eggs hatch. Personally. I'm a widow, care for two girls, am a retired teacher live 50kms from nearest shop and try to live as selfsufficiently as possible...so, that's me, along with 4 dogs, two cats, 3 ducks and 2 goats...on one acre!
