New member confised with my chicken laws

hello,

I moved to ridgefield ct about a year ago and we always wanted chickens. Now that we are more settled in we started trying to look into the chicken laws for our town. They never mention chickens in the zoning sites but they mention livestock. When they lay their definition for livestock they never mention chickens in it. I was wondering if anyone would know what restrictions are placed here.

I'm also in CT and none of the zoning laws or ordinances mention chickens where I am either? I'm sort of going off where my friends have their coops on what seems to be fine.
