New Member from Cajun Country

Hi! My husband and I have just started keeping chickens. We have two Barred Rock hens that usually lay everyday - since the day we got them only two weeks ago. My husband and his cousin built a Catawba ConvertiCoop with a homemade PVC automatic waterer and feeder for the hens.

My 7 year old daughter has named them Rarity and Hannah and they have shown us how much they love their new home by laying plenty of eggs!

I'm excited to join this site - I've been visiting for months learning all I can about how to raise healthy and happy chickens.

There are a few more modifications we want to do on the coop - but I'm very proud of the job my husband and his cousin did. Here's a few photos of my new coop and chickens:
