(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am totally new to chickens! We have friends that own a small farm that has about 75 plus chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We will be getting four Australorps chicks around the 3rd. week of May.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy making my own beer and mead (and sampling!). I also have been spendng a great deal of time getting a new garden together as well as taking care of our house. In between all of that I try to read as much as I can.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a wife and three children, two guinea pigs, four gerbils, two rats, one mixed breed hound we rescued from TN. and a 80 pound male chocolate lab! I drive a truck for a living and have been volunteering as an EMT.
