WOW! Thanks for the welcome everyone, really appreciated. As soon as I can collar my computer whiz brother in law to help me upload pics I will defo do so.
I keep mainly silkies but also some khaki campbells who are fab layers, a mixed flock of hybrid hi-lines, light sussex and hopefully soon, some gold brahma ladies.

eager to get stuck in. With regard to my 6 week old brahma chicks (gold), can anyone tell me if there are any specific physical characteristics I could look out for to help me differentiate between the boys and the girls please? I have noticed that out of 12, 5 have not feathered up as well as the others. These guys all have tiny tails, slightly darker colouring and still retain some baby down on the tops of their wings. Sorry for not including a photo!
Their 7 other siblings have considerably more prominant tails and are well feathered with very even colouring.
Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated as I have never bred Brahmas before. Thanks.
