Here is my newbie survey!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We have had our chickens for about a year now. My husband as a child raised pheasants and quail and we have had Guineas as well but, these are our first chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
12 chickens total
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have 3 Brahma hens and one Brahma Roo and 8 Golden Comet (sex-link) hens.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I found BackYardChickens on Facebook which lead me to the web page so that I could join the forum to ask my MANY questions. Never seems to be a dull moment with our chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like to sew occasionally, garden, I make home made relish, applesauce, and pies.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am married and we have all sorts of "things" going on. We have a Belgian Draft horse, 2 mini donkeys, 3 nigerian dwarf goats (all wethers), 5 piglets and 12 chickens. Plus a dog, cat, and two children!
I can not wait to hear from the BYC community!!!
