I have a mixed group of seven hens. 3 are laying right now. I am looking forward to learning more about the hens. I had adopted 3 older hens for about a year, they all got killed by an unknown predator when we moved here. The coop has since been reinforced with small hard wire screen.

[IMG]some of the worst predators are house pets let loose. Everything loves chicken and the various predators can climb fences, dig under them or fly into them (if no top). Check out the predator forum for help identifying preds, and fortifying coops and runs against them.
