Hello Everyone. I am new to BYC although I've raised chickens before. Promised my grandchildren that I would get some more chickens. Before I had RIR and Dominiquers. This time aroun thanks to your site I have decided to go with buff orpingtons. Really like all the information that I have gathered on this site.Looking foward to sharing information and just talking chickens.

Cool. my favorite is barred rock. I'm in the egg business so I like them. I like hobby's but I like hobby's that pay for themselves evn more such as metal detecting or gold mining. Good luck

How many hens do you have. We have on order from local breeder 8 hens and a roo. Hopefolly I can sell enough eggs to help with feed cost.Reasons for BOs read they are very docile, and good about brooding. Hopefully will next year b able to sell chicks.
