Hi all! I am a new member from Southern Illinois. I have been raising chickens for about 8 years now. I currently have about 40 chickens in my flock. I actually have a question to anyone that might know the answer too. I ordered some Bantam Cochins from Ideal last fall. To my dismay, they arrived with 5 extra (what I believe to be all cockerels) in the box for warmth. Hard lesson to learn!! Anyway, Obviously, I can't keep all those roosters, but I have no idea what they actually are. I am hoping someone can help me identify the breed from a couple of pictures. They are Red with yellow legs, but I really don't think they are Rhode Island Reds. But I could be wrong. In these pictures they are about 16 weeks old. Anyone have a clue what they are? And also, the last picture is of one of them that I think might actually be a pullet. But who knows....
Thanks in advance....and happy to be a part of such a great group of chicken lovers! : )[IMG]

Yes, thanks so much! Someone very helpful suggested they are New Hampshire Reds, and I believe them to be correct after googling that breed. Everyone here seems so informed. I'm glad to be a part of BYC.
