Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. If any of your Rhode Island Reds are roosters, you can cross them with your White Rock hens and breed Red Sex Links. You will be able to sex the offspring by color from hatching (male chicks will be whitish and female chicks will be reddish), and the RSL hens will outlay either parent breed. It's one of the interesting quirks of hybrids. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Welcome to BYC, you may be interested in the thread "Canadians - check in here." so you know what is going on closer to home.

Wow, I think you should try the cross Michael suggested and have your own red sex links, they are very heavy layers.[IMG]
