Bought a 5 acre hobby farm in July. Inherited one older buff orpington. Liked her so much, decided to jump into this chicken thing. Yesterday, received my first shipment containing: one black star, two more buff orps, one barred rock, one easter-egger, and two araucana/americanas (all seven weeks old). If all goes well, will get a roo and then chicken math will probably take over. Nice to see a web forum with so much information. I was able to answer so many questions before I even got my pullets, and it has saved me much head/heartache.
