We lived in Chicago for the first 22 years of my life. When I was a kid we used to go to watch planes come in at Midway. What a thrill!! In those days if you were seeing someone off/back
you could go right up to the boarding area - no screeners, no x-rays, just a chance to dream about what it would be like to fly in a plane, etc. I never knew Chicago allowed chickens.
But, in our old neighbor the kids probably would have wrung their necks. I say that because they poisoned our dog - luckily we got him to a vet asap and he was able to save them. I don't mean to suggest other neighborhoods were like that. We were just unfortunate. Moved to a suburb 44 years ago and it's a much better fit.
Hello and Welcome. I think you have come to the right place to learn about Back Yard Chickens.
