Hi! I found this site while doing some online research about our chickens and ducks, and I can see myself quickly becoming addicted!
We are new to hobby farming. We have 12 acres and currently have 5 chickens (had more, but the neighbor dog got to them), 2 ducks, 2 bunnies, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. Oh, and 5 pigs that will be going in to market soon!
Chickens: 4 Bantams hatched this spring (we think they're all hens?), 1 not-sure-on-breed hen
Ducks: we were told they are a boy and a girl, not sure on breed
I'll have to post pics of the chickens and ducks so all of you that are more experienced can tell me breeds/genders!
Bunnies: Holland Lop sisters
Dog #1: F German Shepard
Dog #2: M Pit Bull
Cat: M orange tabby, indoor/outdoor
Everything I've read on the Forum has been very imformative and entertaining so far! We are currently working on the coop/run to protect the chickens/ducks, so that's what I've been reading a lot of so far! Thank you!
