Hello everyone!!! I have been poking around and reading posts the last few weeks as we prepare for our first batch of chicks. We are super excited to get our new babies next week- 2 Dominique and 3 Buff Orpingtons.
I am in Wake County NC and in addition to the chicks our yard will have one 11 year old Rottie and 2 boys (almost 4 and almost 2). Our oldest is so excited to get his chickens, he has been "planting" grass for them in the garden to eat and is keeping his battery powered Gator clean to give them rides in.
Since you all have already been helpful getting prepared and selecting breeds I am looking forward to getting more advice from you as we start out!
