    Hi Everyone!
I was doing some research on where I can purchase Silkie and Frizzle Chicks around the Hillsboro, forest grove, beaverton, locations in oregon, but I cannot come up with anything! I am currently looking to get a few silkies (black or buff colored - not as easy for the hawks to see) and a frizzle or two. I currently have a tiny batam rooster who is on his last leg :(. The little guy has lived such a long happy life. Then I have 2 white silkie hens. All of my chickens are free range. They get let out during the day and go back in at night. My chickens are pets only with the benefits of eggs, for me. If anyone has any silkies or Frizzle chicks, Please let me know. Again I am located on the westside of portland Oregon. Thanks to all for reading this! Have a beautiful day

Silkies don't do well with free ranging. They don't fly, and despite being a dark color - their beards and crests obscure their vision. So they are sitting ducks for predators. Other breeds tend to bully them as well because their appearance is so different.

You may want to post on the silkie thread.
