I'm a semi-retired, semi-disabled old hippie chick, finally fulfilling some dreams and working toward more sustainable living. Have a wonderfully tolerant husband, 2 grown daughters ( one is afraid of birds!) a 5 year old granddaughter, an almost son-in-law, 4 labs, 1 border collie, 4 cats, 2 cashmere goats and more bright ideas than I will ever put into practice.
I am totally hooked on this site. I've gotten more great coop ideas in the last week than from reading a ton of books. So now, if the wind ever stops blowing 50 mph I'll get my coop built.
I'm getting my chicks on St Patty's day no matter what. Buff Orpingtons seem like the best choice for me, hope I'm right.
