Excited to be a part of the Backyard Chicken Barnyard

We are in the middle of raising our first backyard flock of 6 chickens and 1 rooster and are happily receiving 3-4 beautiful eggs a day! Having chickens is a dream come true and something we should have done long ago! Anxious to grow and learn right along with our chickens, currently: Charlie-our rooster, Sugar, Spice, Alice, Holly, Isabella, and Rosie!

Getting prepared for our flock's first Maine winter! Definitely addicted to this site already!

My kids' friends made it very easy to want to add chickens to the household! They have 2 flocks and shared eggs with us until we were hooked into our own flock!
