Have shown, judged Arabian horses for 30 years, successfully bred and shown Japanese Chins and Pomeranians and now downsizing to chickens. Just purchased a Tractor Coop from Mobile Coop in Burnet, TX. Coop will eventually house 2 Blue Cochin girls and hopefully 3 Black Copper Marans girls. Would like to add 2 Light Braham girls to the mix. Baby chicks are doing great in their box in the house. Loads of fun to watch. Looking forward to my new feathered venture.

Enjoy your girls. Cochin are one of my favorites! Always have been since I was a little girl.

Since you like Japanes chins . . . maybe you'd like Japanese bantams. Pretty cool birds.

Japanese Chin are the best kept secret in the dog world!

downsizing, eh? umm.. just a little observation here. I've noticed that the best intentions to keep chicken raising "small" most often succumb to the dreaded Chicken Math Syndrome. Good Luck!
