New member question

We are new to having chickens. We have 10 total with 2 roosters. They are 15 weeks old. Attempts to rehome one of the roosters have failed. My wife is optimistic that she can socialize one of the roosters to assume a submissive role. Any ideas?

I have successfully rehomed or sold 7 cockerels using Craigslist and local FB Poultry groups. Take the best pictures you can of the cockerel you are trying to rehome taking into consideration the background and create the post. It takes time. Good luck.

Yes I would definitely pursue some local Facebook groups to rehome your extra boy.

Have you already determined which one you would like to keep? If you can’t rehome the other, you can cull it. There are quite a few good articles on here that can help with roosters. Good luck, and welcome to BYC.

Your roosters should be fine together, do they fight right now? Mine are free range during the day, and they usually get along.
