I'm new to this group but I've been lurking for the past year. Years ago, we raised Jersey Giants and Khaki Campbells but our allergic son didn't tolerate eggs from either, so we are raising organic Muscovy ducks for eggs and meat, starting a year agoorganic. Last September's ducklings are now parents, as the processor I had found on Craigslist was out of business by November. (Apparently there are no custom waterfowl processors in Southern California?) So now we have three generations, a zillion ducklings, and a need to learn how to slaughter quickly! And lots of stories to tell about these quirky ducks....
